JERSEY CITY, N.J. -- Dozens of people, including members of the military and law enforcement, took part in the fourth annual Hudson River SEAL Team Swim Saturday.

Held at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, participants do a round of 22 pullups and 100 pushups, then swim to Liberty Island and do more pullups and pushups there. After that, there's a swim to Ellis Island for yet another round of pullups and pushups.

It all ends with a final flag run to the 9/11 Memorial.

The event is a test of physical endurance, but participants say it's all worth it.

"Swim was tough, swim's no joke. That current picked up. You know what, though? It's meant to be tough. It's meant to be tough. It's meant to be a sacrifice for those that we care about and honor about and that's one of the things, we salute our fallen," former Navy SEAL Bill Brown said.

The goal of the event is to raise $300,000 for the GI Go Fund, which provides professional resources for veterans.
