INDIANAPOLIS - High school students in Porter County now have an opportunity to earn state certification in carpentry, helping to prepare them for a career once they graduate. The Indiana Office of Work-Based Learning and Apprenticeship is partnering with a carpenter’s union, the Porter County Career Center, and Portage and Chesterton high schools in the State Earn and Learn programs.
