Chip seal work set to take place in two Genesee County communities - MLive.com

FLINT, MI -- The Genesee County Road Commission has announced that the 2021 Chip Seal Program will continue starting Tuesday, July 27.

The following roads will be affected:

  1. Elms Road (between Corunna Road and Lennon Road), in Flint Township, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  2. Elms Road (from Swartz Creek city limit to Maple Road), in Flint Township, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  3. Morrish Road (from Swartz Creek city limit to Grand Blanc Road) in Gaines Township, from 1:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Open lanes of traffic will be flagged through the construction zone and traffic may be temporarily detoured on some roadways. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route.
