An adult male died at the scene of a traffic collision at the intersection of Seal Beach Boulevard and Westminster Avenue.
On December 4, 2020 at about 10:49 p.m., officers from the Seal Beach Police Department responded to the intersection of Seal Beach Boulevard and Westminster Avenue to investigate a single vehicle traffic collision. Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive adult male inside of the vehicle. Orange County Fire Authority personnel responded; however, the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The preliminary investigation revealed the driver was traveling northbound on Seal Beach Boulevard approaching the intersection of Westminster Avenue. For an unknown reason, the driver lost control of the vehicle, hit the center median, and veered off the road. The vehicle crashed into a chain link fence attached to the Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station. No other vehicles or pedestrians were involved in the collision. The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
