Delhi seals its borders for one week with neighbouring states - Times of India

ragamnyakabar.blogspot.com
NEW DELHI: Delhi government on Monday announced immediate sealing of capital's borders with all neighbouring states for a week after it lifted all restrictions from almost all economic activities.
All essential movements across the borders, however, will be allowed. The move may cause further chaos on the borders already grappling with massive traffic congestions.
The borders have seen several sealing activities by authorities in Noida, Ghaziabad and Gurugram during the lockdown, leaving hundreds of thousands of migrant workers stranded and in pain.
In a press conference chief minister Arvind Kejriwal sought public suggestions on keeping Delhi government hospitals reserved only for the people living in Delhi. A decision will be taken after analysing the public opinion.
CM asked people to send in suggestions through WhatsApp 8800007722 and email on delhicm.suggestions@gmail.com or on call at 1031.
All shops and markets can now open in Delhi without odd-even restrictions, barber shops and salons have been allowed to open but spas will remain shut for now. The restrictions on number of people travelling in a car or auto rickshaw have been lifted. Like before, now two persons can ride a bike. All industries are now allowed to function without any staggered timings restrictions.
Night curfew has been relaxed in Delhi and all shops can keep open till 9pm. Malls are likely to open from June 8. The Delhi government is likely to release a detailed order by Monday evening.
