SEAL BEACH, CA - A suspected drunk driver was arrested for possibly hitting and killing a man Sunday in Seal Beach.
Elizabeth Landess of Long Beach, 30, was arrested on suspicion of felony driving under the influence. She was later booked into the Orange County Jail, Seal Beach Police Sgt. Nick Nicholas said. Landess was driving a gray 2018 Ford Eagle.
Officers were dispatched just after midnight to the 15900 block of Pacific Coast Highway regarding a traffic crash that left a man unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Nicholas said.
"After an investigation, the driver was arrested for felony driving under the influence," the police sergeant said.
The name of the victim will be released pending notification of next of kin, according to the Orange County coroner's office.
Seal Beach police urged anyone with information regarding the crash to call them at 562-799-4100, ext. 1661.
