How to Unlock The Chasm Underground Mines

There are three prerequisites to unlocking the Surreptitious Seven-Star Seal Sundering World Quest:

  • Be Adventure Rank 28 or above
  • Completed Xingqui's Story Quest "Fabulae Textile Chapter, Act I - Bookworm Swordsman"
  • Completed the "Chapter I, Act III - A New Star Approaches" Archon Quest

Once you've met the requirements, the Chasm Delvers questline will become available to you. Surreptitious Seven-Star Seal Sundering is the second quest in the chain, but you don't need to have completed the first one, The Chasm Charters, beforehand.

Completing the Surreptitious Seven-Star Seal Sundering is a requirement to complete the "Chapter II, Act IV - Requiem of the Echoing Depths" Archon Quest. You can find a full walkthrough for that here.

How to Complete Surreptitious Seven-Star Seal Sundering

advertisement

To start the quest, you need to speak to Muning. He is located in The Chasm, just left of Yuehui, who you speak to in the Requiem of the Echoing Depths Archon Quest.

Talk to Muning

To find him easily, follow the path that's north of Qingxu Pool west until you reach two Millelith guards who will recognize Traveler and let them in. Walk through to Muning who is standing to the left.

Talk to him and he'll tell the Traveler about an area in the middle of The Chasm that has been sealed off with a Seven-Star Array by the Qixing, held in place by Bedrock Keys. He asks the Traveler not to try and go down there because it's definitely not got anything special *wink* but you can guess what's going to happen next.

Look for Zhiqiong

Muning directs you in the direction of Zhiqiong, an adventurer hired by the Ministry of Civil Affairs. To find her, walk directly left from Muning and glide off the side into The Chasm. Keep going forward and you'll find her below, standing in front of a signpost.

Speak to her and she'll reveal that Muning is gathering a squad of scholars and explorers to investigate The Chasm under the Qixing's nose. Sneaky! Zhiqiong will tell the Traveler that a Lumenstone Adjuvant is needed to navigate the darkness of the Underground Mines and asks you to go to a warehouse in the south.

Go to the Miners' Warehouse

The Miners' Warehouse is just south of Zhiqiong's position. Turn around and walk south until you reach the edge of the rock. Glide down and then look directly left to find it.

A group of Treasure Hoarders will appear. Fight them off and then enter the warehouse. The Lumenstone Adjuvent is sat on a table in the top right of the room.

Once you have it, return to Zhiqiong. She'll then ask you to destroy two Geo elemental formations that are affecting a nearby Bedrock Key.

The First Bedrock Key

Directly behind and to the left of Zhiqiong, you'll see Geo Lamps. Destroy them to get Geograna and then take it to the Geo formation on the cliff to the left of her. Repeat this for the one directly opposite.

Once Geograna is in both of the Geo formations, face one of them and then strike it, aiming towards the Bedrock Key. Then do the same for the other side to break the Bedrock Key's binding. Return to Zhiqiong who will tell you there are four more to destroy. She'll give you the locations of three of them.

The Second Bedrock Key

Head right past the signpost and follow the path until you reach a Teleport Waypoint. Activate it if you wish and then walk through the cave directly behind it, taking out the Spider on the web as you go.

You'll now be in a large cavern. Walk forward and you'll see the second Bedrock Key in here. This time, there are three Geo elemental structures you need to place Geograna in to break the seal: one below and two above. Note that you will need to hit them in the order of highest to lowest so head down below first.

Once you've broken the second Bedrock Key using the Geo Lamps and Geograna, warp back to the Teleport Waypoint by Muning and Yuehui.

The Third Bedrock Key

To find the third Key, head right from the Teleport Waypoint and glide down into The Chasm where you'll spot a crane on your left. Drop down to the ground here and follow the path left until you reach a cave with some Treasure Hoarders.

Defeat them and a cutscene will play where one of the "Treasure Hoarders" will reveal themselves to be Millelith Squad Leader Yanbo. He states that a group of them were there but they took care of them, before asking you for help. This starts the "Undetected Infiltration" World Quest but you can ignore this for now and continue on with Surreptitious Seven-Star Seal Sundering.

When you exit the cutscene, you'll be standing next to a Geo Lamp. Break it to grab a Geograna and then turn around to face a wooden shack with a stove in it. There's a Geo elemental structure here, so go ahead and place the Geograna in it.

To the right of where the Geo Lamp is, there's a glowing cracked platform. Stand on it and jump to soar up onto the cliff face in front of it and climb up.

There's a Geo Lamp on a wooden platform here. Smash it and then go to the edge of the platform to the right. Look down and you'll see a Geo elemental structure suspended in midair. Take the Geograna to it.

Land on the cliff below and you'll see another glowing cracked platform. Jump up to the cliff with the wooden platform on again and then look to the northeast where you'll see another Geo elemental structure in the air just off of another wooden platform. Smash the Geo Rock next to it and then activate it.

Wait for the roped platform next to the Geo structure to lower, jump on it, and then hit the structure while facing the Bedrock Key to break it. Do the same with the other one that's in the air, before finally returning to the one by the stove and hitting it.

This will break the third seal. Now onto the fourth Bedrock Key!

The Fourth Bedrock Key

Go back to where you fought the "Treasure Hoarders" and then follow the path right, past a Teleport Waypoint, until you reach a Ruin Guard and a Ruin Grader. You can avoid them and just run past them if you wish but if you defeat them, the nearby Luxurious Chest will unlock.

Continue forward into a cave with the fourth Bedrock Key in. Walk forward and you'll fall onto a wooden platform with a Geo elemental structure, a Geo Lamp, and some Hilichurls. Take out the Hilichurls, break the Geo Lamp, and use the Geograna on the Geo elemental structure.

From the elemental structure, look down to see another one on a wooden platform below. Take out the Hilichurl Archer here and then break the Geo Lamp again, taking a Geograna to the structure.

Jump into the Wind Current to the left of the Geo elemental structure and ride it to the top. You'll see another structure ahead of you, along with a Geo Lamp. Glide to it and activate it.

Go right from here to find yet another Geo Lamp and a Geo elemental structure. Defeat the lone Hilichurl here and then activate it. Because this is the highest structure in the area, it is the one you want to hit in the direction of the Bedrock Key first. Do so.

Now jump back into the Wind Tunnel and glide back to the first Geo elemental structure. Hit the structure here and then glide back over to the third one you activated and hit that.

Then hit the second one you activated by the Hilichurl Archer to break the fourth Bedrock Key's seal.

The Fifth Bedrock Key

Return to Zhiqiong, who is now stationed by the warehouse you got the Lumenstone Adjuvent from. Speak to her and she'll reveal the location of the fifth and final Bedrock Key.

If you've unlocked the Statue of the Seven in The Chasm, warp to that and then glide down off the cliff to the left. If you haven't, warp to the Teleport Waypoint outside the mine where you destroyed the second Bedrock Key and travel west.

You'll find a lone Treasure Hoarder down here. Defeat him and then walk forward. You'll reach a wooden platform that breaks suddenly before a huge drop. Glide down.

Continue through the cave until you see a Geo Lamp on your left. Smash it and then continue forward until you reach a Geo elemental structure where you can place the Geograna.

Glide down to the bottom where you'll find another Geo elemental structure and a Geo Lamp. Activate it.

Climb back up to the first Geo elemental structure and hit it towards the Bedrock Key. Two Geovishap Hatchlings will drop down to the bottom floor. Defeat them and a Geovishap will drop down.

Take that out too and then hit the nearby Geo elemental structure towards the final Bedrock Key to break the seal. Zhiqiong will automatically speak to the Traveler and you'll be warped back to Muning where the quest will finish.

Congratulations! The Chasm Underground Mines will now be open to you for exploration - and the next quest in the Chasm Delvers chain, Chasm Spelunkers, will unlock.

A.L.P. Purchases Sur-Seal Optical Molding Assets - Industrial Distribution

ragamnyakabar.blogspot.com

NILES, Ill. — A.L.P. has expanded its industry-leading optical silicone molding capabilities by purchasing molding machines and other key assets from Sur-Seal LLC.

The equipment is installed in the Charlevoix, Michigan, facility and is operational. As a result, A.L.P. will have six presses capable of molding liquid silicone rubber in Charlevoix and has plans to expand the technology to its Monterrey, Mexico, facility in fiscal year 2023. Sur-Seal, in turn, will turn its focus to the core business of producing silicone gaskets.

“A.L.P. sees a great future in optical silicone molding for LED outdoor, industrial and automotive lighting applications,” said Tom Barnes, vice president and business unit manager. “The opportunity to cooperate with Sur-Seal in this equipment transfer, as they transition out of LSR optics, puts A.L.P. in a strong position to fulfill that emerging demand."

A.L.P.’s tie-barless molding machines have advanced production features, including a built-in conveyor, ERC robot, electro servo injection and coining technology. The company can currently mold silicone parts up to 200 square inches. Precision silicone equipment, combined with tooling and optical engineering expertise, allows A.L.P. to quickly take projects from concept to production.

SEAL Team Season 6 is not coming to Paramount+ in April 2022 - Hidden Remote

ragamnyakabar.blogspot.com

Our eyes are on when we’ll get to see Bravo Team back in action. SEAL Team Season 6 is happening, but it’s not coming in April 2022.

The good news is that we know SEAL Team Season 6 is happening. The renewal came in just days after the Season 5 finale aired on Paramount+. At least we know how Bravo Team will get out of the mess they’re currently in.

Now comes the bad news. The sixth season is not going to premiere in April 2022. That doesn’t surprise us all that much, although it didn’t stop us hoping for some sort of miracle.

SEAL Team Season 6 release date predictions

We are keeping an eye out for any sign of SEAL Team Season 6 coming to Paramount+. That means we need to look out for filming first, and it doesn’t look like that has started. We’re not expecting filming to start for a while.

One of the actors we can keep an eye on is Justin Melnick. He shares a lot of photos of Pepper training, and right now, it looks like she’s keeping her agility skills up for reprising her role as Bravo Team’s loyal pup.

We won’t be able to predict a release date without knowing when filming is going to start. It usually starts in the summer for a fall release date. Is that the way things are going to work with the show now a Paramount+ exclusive? It’s certainly possible considering the success of the series. Why move it out of the fall schedule?

When Season 6 does arrive, we may find that Bravo Team is one member down. Max Thieriot has landed the lead role in a CBS pilot. If the show is picked up to series, it may be a problem for schedules.

SEAL Team Seasons 1-5 are available to stream on Paramount+.

Mystic Aquarium to release rehabilitated seal back into the wild - CT Insider

ragamnyakabar.blogspot.com

MYSTIC — A seal who was rescued by staff at Mystic Aquarium after being found “minimally responsive” at a Rhode Island beach earlier this month was returned to the wild on Tuesday morning.

The roughly 8-week-old gray seal pup was found minimally responsive and thin on Misquamicut Beach in Westerly, R.I., on Feb. 15. Veterinarians discovered the seal was recently weaned from his mother. He arrived at the aquarium weighing just 30 pounds.

The seal was named “Мор,” pronounced “Myr,” which aquarium staff said means “peace” in Ukrainian.

Myr was rehabilitated through the aquarium’s Animal Rescue Program. Staff said while he was rehabilitating, he received antibiotics for an infection and fluids for dehydration.

He also received fish four times a day. Staff members made sure not to be visible during these feedings so the seal did not learn to associate humans with food.

Sarah Callan, Mystic’s Animal Rescue Program manager, said animal rescue clinic care is different from the care provided to the aquarium’s resident seals.

“We do not train seals in the clinic, but instead ensure that they remain wild so they will thrive upon release," she said.

Through the Animal Rescue Program, the aquarium said, Myr more than doubled his body weight and was ready to return to the ocean.

Myr was released at Blue Shutters Beach in Charlestown, R.I., at 10 a.m. Tuesday. After he climbed out of his cage, he looked around at the dozens of people watching him. He then flopped on the beach toward the ocean and swam off.

The Animal Rescue Program responds to stranded marine mammals and sea turtles along the northeastern coastline of Connecticut, Rhode Island and Fishers Island, N.Y.

Anyone who sees a seal in the wild should leave a message on the 24-hour Animal Rescue Hotline at 860-572-5955 ext. 107. People and pets should remain at least 150 feet away from the animals. Do not touch, feed or attempt to help, even if the animal appears to be dead, the aquarium said.

Staff writer Liz Hardaway contributed to this report.

Peru seal World Cup playoff berth with 2-0 win over Paraguay - Reuters.com

ragamnyakabar.blogspot.com

LIMA, March 29 (Reuters) - Peru sealed a World Cup playoff spot on Tuesday after a 2-0 win over Paraguay secured fifth place in the South American qualifying group.

Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador and Uruguay had already secured South America’s four automatic spots.

Peru will meet either the United Arab Emirates or Australia, who play the Asian confederation playoff in Doha on June 7, for a place in Qatar. The inter-confederation playoff will take place in Doha on June 13 or 14.

Peru also had to go through a playoff to reach the last World Cup in Russia, defeating New Zealand over two legs to qualify for their first finals since Spain in 1982.

On Tuesday, Peru started the night with 21 points, one more than Colombia and two ahead of Chile, knowing that a win over Paraguay in the final round of qualifying would be enough to wrap up the playoff spot.

They went ahead with just four minutes gone, Gianluca Lapadula running on to a defence-splitting pass from Christian Cueva to poke the ball in off the post.

Three minutes before halftime it was 2-0, Cueva the architect again. His work outside a packed penalty box led to a cross finished off by Yoshimar Yotun.

Ricardo Gareca’s side controlled the second half without making many more chances and were content to see the game out and send the capacity crowd at the National stadium into raptures at the final whistle.

In the night's other games, Brazil beat Bolivia 4-0 in La Paz thanks to goals from Lucas Paqueta, Bruno Guimaraes and a double for Richarlison.

Argentina drew 1-1 at Ecuador after Julian Alvarez's early goal was cancelled out in stoppage time by the home side's Enner Valencia, who converted the rebound after his penalty was saved.

Colombia beat Venezuela 1-0 thanks to a James Rodriguez penalty, while Luis Suarez, with a bicycle kick, and Federico Valverde gave Uruguay a 2-0 win over Chile in Santiago.

Tribe, Great Wolf seal deal for Mashantucket water park resort - theday.com

ragamnyakabar.blogspot.com

Mashantucket — Great Wolf Lodge at Mashantucket, the indoor water park resort to be built adjacent to Foxwoods Resort Casino, will include 550 hotel rooms, the smallest of which will sleep a family of six, Great Wolf Resorts executives said here Monday.

They said they expect the $300 million facility to open in 2024 and attract some 600,000 visitors a year from within a six-and-a-half hour drive. It’ll feature Great Wolf's signature 90,000-square-foot indoor water park, an outdoor pool, a family play area, an interactive adventure park and other family-themed amenities.

Jason Guyot, Foxwoods’ president and chief executive officer, said it will “redefine what being a resort destination means.”

Guyot, joined by Rodney Butler, the casino-owning Mashantucket Pequot Tribe’s chairman, and other tribal officials welcomed Great Wolf executives to the Mashantucket reservation, where they toured the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center before attending a private signing ceremony in the casino’s Vue 24 lounge.

The Great Wolf contingent flew Monday from Chicago, where Great Wolf is headquartered.

Butler and Murray Hennessy, Great Wolf’s CEO, exchanged gifts and signed a deal they said was years in the making. Later, Hennessy and Steve Jacobsen, Great Wolf’s vice president of domestic development, provided details of the Mashantucket project for the first time. It was announced six weeks ago during the tribe's 30th anniversary celebration.

“This is a new design for us,” Hennessy said. “We have 19 (lodges) in North America and we’re taking the best (features) of the best.”

He said Great Wolf has a lodge in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, as well as "four to five more in the pipeline" in the United States and one under construction in the United Kingdom.

Great Wolf’s newest facility is in the northern California city of Manteca, its June 2021 opening delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic. A 20th Great Wolf Lodge featuring 700 hotel rooms is under construction in Perryville, Md., near Baltimore.

The closest Great Wolf facility to Mashantucket is in Fitchburg, Mass., the only one in New England.

“We knew we wanted to build in this part of the world,” said Jacobsen, who rekindled talk of a Mashantucket facility in a 2020 email to Butler during the pandemic.

“Are you still interested?” Butler recalled Jacobsen asking.

The Mashantuckets previously engaged with Great Wolf in 2007, with the partners pursuing an indoor water park development on tribe-owned, non-reservation land along Route 214 in Ledyard. The project was abandoned in the face of the Great Recession.

Jacobsen said Great Wolf and the tribe also discussed a project in 2010 and again in 2014.

Butler said the “water park concept” has been part of the tribe’s vision since Foxwoods opened.

While the earlier Route 214 plan required land-use approvals from town officials, the current one involves no such process. Great Wolf is providing most of the capital investment in the project and is leasing the real estate from the tribe. Jacobsen said construction is expected to begin this summer and will take 22 to 24 months to complete. Some blasting on the site could begin earlier, he said.

The resort will be built between Foxwoods’ Rainmaker entrance and the Pequot Outpost gas station/convenience store on Foxwoods Boulevard. Utility lines that serve the casino run under the site and will have to be moved, as will Trolley Line Boulevard, according to Jacobsen.

The water park resort will take 450 parking spaces in Foxwoods' Rainmaker Garage for employees, he said.

“What we’re coming to be part of is truly impressive,” Hennessy said, referring to Foxwoods and Mashantucket. “Everything here spells quality — and family.”

“Eight to nine million people a year go through Great Wolf Resorts," he said. "It’s a good place for families.”

Elden Ring: How To Get The Dragon Communion Seal | Screen Rant - Screen Rant

ragamnyakabar.blogspot.com

The Dragon Communion Seal is a rare Sacred Seal in Elden Ring that enhances Dragon Communion Incantations, such as the blazing Dragonfire or rot-inflicting Rotten Breath. Upgraded using Somber Smithing Stones, the Dragon Communion Seal requires 10 Faith and 10 Arcane to be appropriately equipped. Likewise, the Sacred Seal features efficient scaling with these two attributes, making it highly effective during the end-game when players have much higher stats in Elden Ring.

The location of the Dragon Communion Seal is the Fringefolk Hero's Grave, the first Dungeon that Tarnished will pass on their journey. The entrance of the crypt sits next to the Stranded Graveyard Site of Grace. Naturally, travelers will be unable to enter this Dungeon at the start of their adventure since they won't have two Stonesword Keys to remove the Imp Statue's Seal. Nevertheless, those that return later or start a NG+ with several keys will be able to access this mid-level Dungeon.

Related: Elden Ring: How To Get The Magic Scorpion Charm

The initial area of the Fringefolk Hero's Grave is a pool full of poisonous muck, which will inflict the Poison ailment onto players. Other rooms within the Dungeon also have ponds of toxic mires, so adventurers are recommended to take some Neutralizing Boluses with them before delving deeper. Several Boluses can be purchased from the Nomadic Merchant down by the coast near The First Step.

Dragon Communion Seal Location In Elden Ring

Dragon Communion Seal Location In Elden Ring

The Dragon Communion Seal in Elden Ring can be found at the far end of the hazardous tunnels patrolled by the unkillable chariot mobs. Tarnished travelers must be careful when seeking cover, as Castle Guard Phantoms hide within the "safe" alcoves and gaps. There are roughly four corridors to get through, all guarded by phantoms and the spike-wheeled frenzied chariots. Once the player arrives at the end of the tunnels, they will discover a small room with a kneeling knight inside.

When Tarnished approach this ghostly enemy, it will rise and prepare for battle. This elite opponent in Elden Ring is armed with a heavy shield and longsword, including abilities that can stagger the player. It can also temporarily become invisible while moving about. Be mindful of its two primary skills, spewing fire and summoning a small whirlwind. When the knight's shield is up, it's highly resistant to damage, so Tarnished must make sure to attack when the foe is vulnerable or staggered. Once the elite enemy has been defeated, adventurers will receive the Dragon Communion Seal. They can also loot the corpse on the ground to acquire rare Dragonwound Grease.

Baby Grey Seal Strandings Could Suggest New Colony on Mid-Atlantic Coast - Chesapeake Bay Magazine

ragamnyakabar.blogspot.com

It’s not unusual to hear that the National Aquarium in Baltimore’s animal rehabilitation center has admitted a new patient. The top-level facility helps several stranded sea turtles per year and occasionally a seal in distress from the Maryland and Delaware beaches.

But the newest rescue, a grey seal pup brought to the Animal Care and Rescue Center in late February, may be a sign of an important trend. The pup, so young he would still be dependent on his mother, is the third maternally-dependent grey seal admitted in recent years. The ongoing presence of these babies indicates there may be a grey seal colony, known as a rookery, established in the mid-Atlantic.

That would be notable since there has not been a known rookery here in years. After grey seals were nearly wiped out by mariners in the first half of the 20th century, the Marine Mammal Protection Act passed in 1972 has been helping to strengthen their numbers. With seal hunting illegal and punishable by fines or even jail time, seals can again move freely along the Eastern Seaboard.

The most recent rescued baby seal is making good progress since he was found dehydrated with infected wounds at Assateague Island National Seashore. The grey seal, nicknamed Louis Armstrong, was likely born in January, and weighed just 35 pounds when he stranded.

Louis has been treated with antibiotics for his wounds and Aquarium staff are now working with him to practice independent swimming and foraging for food, skills he will need to survive in the wild.

Grey seals stay in the rookery during breeding season, but are independent other times of year. The aquarium says if there is, indeed, a rookery nearby, we will likely see more seals like Louis in the Bay region. The aquarium offers this reminder: “Should you encounter a seal on the beach, it may not be sick, only resting. If you do see a seal, do not touch or approach it, and keep a distance of 150 feet—about the length of three school buses. Please note your location and time of day and immediately contact the National Aquarium’s Stranded Animal Hotline at 410-576-3880.”

NOAA will work with the National Aquarium to determine when Louis is ready for release. He’ll need to be about 50 pounds, so he has plenty of fish-eating ahead of him.

ContextLogic Is an E-Commerce Stock to Avoid This Year - InvestorPlace

ragamnyakabar.blogspot.com

ContextLogic (NASDAQ:WISH) stock has cratered along with the rest of the tech industry. However, a lot is its own undoing, with its recent results showing the effects of the post-pandemic headwinds. Its top-line continues to contract and with massive cash burn levels. Unless it finds ways to improve conversions and expands into other profitable areas, it will continue positing unimpressive revenues and profits. Hence, WISH stock is in for a tumultuous time ahead, and its best to avoid it at this time.

Source: sdx15 / Shutterstock.com

The company’s fourth-quarter results show that customers are abandoning its shopping platform in droves. Its key metrics, including sales, users and cash flows, have declined considerably. Therefore, the pandemic-led tailwinds have faded away completely, leaving ContextLogic in a major spot of bother. Moreover, WISH stock isn’t dirt cheap either, trading over 1.5 time’s forward sales estimates, ahead of the sector average.

Deplorable Fourth Quarter

Wish, ContextLogic’s discovery-based shopping platform, posted highly discouraging results to close out the year. Revenues of $289 million saw a 63.6% drop from the prior-year period. Moreover, its monthly active user growth followed a similar pattern, dropping 58% from last year’s same quarter to 44 million users. The platform’s dwindling user growth is a cause for major concern, as it shows that the firm is still in disarray after the pandemic fades. The company was among the pandemic darlings, but with the crisis on its last legs, it seems to have no answers to the challenges in the post-pandemic scenario.

Consequently, its bottom-line has suffered immensely, reporting a $58 million loss in the fourth quarter. The firm is trying its best to look for ways to increase efficiency and cut down costs. It has laid-off staff and cut back on advertising efforts to limit operational expenses. Its strategy is unlikely to pay off until there’s a turnaround in its top-line performance.

Furthermore, the firm’s cash reserves are draining swiftly, as it showed a 50% depletion rate at the end of December to $1 billion. However, it doesn’t have any debt on its books, which is a plus point. Nevertheless, if it continues to burn cash at its rate, the firm is likely to run into a major liquidity crisis.

Bleak Outlook Ahead

ContextLogic’s future will be incredibly dim if it fails to do something drastic with its business. Its business model is precarious and offers little value to investors looking for high-quality products and services. The merchants listed on its platform are based in China, so the platform obtains strikingly low prices compared to its peers. However, these products are usually of low quality. Additionally, there have been multiple reports of fake items sold on its platform.

Unless it restructures its business and improves its services, the firm will end up in deep waters. It might even have to liquidate its business if it fails to turn things around within the next couple of years. Its cost leadership strategy will need to change if it hopes to mount a comeback. Most companies operating such a model need tremendous scale to achieve profitability. A slowdown in revenue growth puts its strategy at risk.

Bottom Line on WISH Stock

ContextLogic is an e-commerce company in decline. Its recent results evoke a premonition of a rocky road ahead to recovery. It’s now forced to cut costs in hopes of finding a solution to its cash flow problem. Moreover, it needs to find a way to revitalize its business before things get to the point of no return. It’s an incredibly risky investment that should be left alone at this time.

2 Reasons to Buy Lemonade, and 2 to Avoid it - InvestorPlace

ragamnyakabar.blogspot.com

Lemonade (NYSE:LMND) was once a red-hot IPO stock but has been laid low by the bear market ravaging growth stocks. However, the New York-based property and casualty company just saw its share price score a powerful rally off the lows. The eye-popping percentage gain has bottom fishers circling and old bulls wondering if it’s time to return to a stock that knows how to fly. I’m offering two reasons to pull the trigger and two reasons to steer clear.

2 Reasons to Buy LMND Stock

Source: Stephanie L Sanchez / Shutterstock.com

The first bullish argument is that Lemonade shares look more bullish than at any time over the past six months. In just seven sessions, LMND stock has soared 74%. Along the way, it broke two prior pivot highs and cleared the 20-day moving average.

This wasn’t just another tired oversold bounce to see the stage for an easy smackdown. It was a statistically significant and consistent rebound born of short covering and institutional accumulation. The higher volume seen along the way adds legitimacy to the bottoming bid, giving it better odds of sticking than any rally since last June.

We even succeeded in closing above the 50-day moving average Wednesday. While not a convincing close, the fact that we’re even able to touch the high side of this trend-following indicator is a change in character. Before this week, we hadn’t even sniffed it for five months.

So, yes, the technical posture of LMND stock is looking up. However, even bulls would be wise to watch for a lower-risk entry than piling in after such a significant jump. A retreat from here could set up a potential higher pivot low and more definitive bottoming pattern.

The second reason for optimism is the giant reversal we saw in the Nasdaq. I don’t think it’s a stretch to tie the rebound to a general sentiment shift around growth stocks. While the entire space has much work yet to do before turning their weekly downtrends, last week’s market resurrection certainly improves the backdrop.

For its part, the Nasdaq blasted through old resistance and the falling 50-day moving average. The market was pleased by the outcome of the Federal Reserve meeting, and we’ve seen a wave of buying in the aftermath.

2 Reasons to Stay Away

With the daily downtrend in the indexes now dead, it’s one less thing for LMND stock to worry about. Were that all I had to say on the matter, I’d pitch a bullish trade idea and move along. But, there are two arguments that you may find persuasive enough to avoid Lemonade altogether.

Salivate over the 74% rip-roaring run LMND stock just saw all you want. But remember, it’s still 85% off its highs, and at last week’s low, the drawdown was 91%. Do you know how many times a stock has to get cut in half to fall that far? Not once. Not twice. Not even three times. Four. Four times! Good, fundamentally healthy companies don’t do that.

The magnitude of the destruction says something (loud and clear, I might add) about just how much concern the Street has over the company’s balance sheet and prospects.

But here’s another thing. The vicious decline leaves a mountain of overhead supply that means the recovery, if it persists, will likely be a tough slog. The weekly trend remains atrocious, and as epic as last week’s rally was, it didn’t even dent the long-term descent.

Lemonade (LMND) weekly stock chart with strong downtrend.
Source: The thinkorswim® platform from TD Ameritrade

The second reason is related to the first. There are far better choices if you want to shop beaten-down growth stocks. Remember, it’s not just unprofitable IPOs, SPACs, and otherwise questionable companies that have been taken to the woodshed.

Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:FB), Block (NYSE:SQ), Salesforce.com (NYSE:CRM), Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ:AMD), and many other more fundamentally sound and profitable companies have been brought low. I can make a far more compelling case for dumpster diving in them than LMND stock.

Juan Soto, Josh Bell avoid arbitration with Nationals - The Washington Post

ragamnyakabar.blogspot.com

By early Tuesday evening, the Washington Nationals had agreed to a 2022 salary with seven of their eight arbitration-eligible players, most importantly Juan Soto and Josh Bell.

Soto, their 23-year-old superstar outfielder in his second year of arbitration eligibility, agreed to a one-year contract worth $17.1 million, a person familiar with the deal confirmed to The Washington Post. First baseman Bell, in his final year of arbitration eligibility at 29, accepted a one-year, $10 million deal, a person familiar with it confirmed. Mark Feinsand of MLB.com first reported both agreements.

That left only outfielder Victor Robles without an agreed-upon salary for the coming season. Robles filed for $2.1 million and the Nationals countered at $1.6 million, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. The difference of $500,000 could lead to an arbitration hearing during the season, when an arbiter would choose between the two numbers.

Robles, a 24-year-old outfielder, is in his first year of arbitration eligibility. Any hearing would be during the season because the lockout moved the entire process back from mid-January. That provided even more of an incentive for teams to avoid it, but Washington couldn’t come to terms with a former top prospect. Robles, a starter on the World Series squad in 2019, struggled mightily last year and finished it with Class AAA Rochester. He is fighting with Lane Thomas for the everyday job in center.

In theory, Robles and the Nationals can keep negotiating and avoid a hearing altogether. The deadline to file figures with Major League Baseball and the MLB Players Association was 1 p.m. Tuesday, but one- or multiyear deals can be struck at any time. Nationals General Manager Mike Rizzo is a “file and trial” executive, though, meaning he typically takes players to arbitration hearings if salary figures have to be exchanged.

MLB Trade Rumors projected Robles to make $1.7 million in 2022. The website has a good track record with predictions, but it relies more on algorithms than inside information from teams, players and agents. It nailed Bell’s salary at $10 million. With Soto, it predicted $16.2 million, which was $900,000 less than he will make.

It was critical for the Nationals to avoid a hearing with Soto, whom they want to lock up with a long-term contract. Soto turned down a 13-year, $350 million contract offer before the lockout, according to multiple people with knowledge of the situation. This month, Rizzo called Soto’s future the club’s “number one priority” this spring and moving forward.

Washington also made its first round of spring training cuts Tuesday. Left-handers Seth Romero and Evan Lee, right-hander Gabe Klobosits and outfielder Yasel Antuna — all on the 40-man roster — were optioned to Rochester. Right-handers Jackson Rutledge and Jefry Rodriguez, left-hander Alberto Baldonado, catcher Israel Pineda and infielders Jackson Cluff and Andrew Young — none of whom are on the 40-man — were reassigned to minor league camp.

Aaron Judge hopes to avoid arbitration hearing with Yankees - Newsday

ragamnyakabar.blogspot.com

TAMPA, Fla. — Aaron Judge remembers well the last time a Yankee entered an arbitration room and faced off against team hierarchy.

It was 2017 and though Judge, then a rookie, was in the beginning stages of a position battle for the starting rightfield job against Aaron Hicks, he nonetheless couldn’t help but take notice of the ugliness that transpired in the hearing room between the club and reliever Dellin Betances.

“You read the news and you see the comments that were said about him, you saw the comments he had to say,” Judge said by his locker Wednesday afternoon. “Just as a friend you kind of pull him aside and say, ‘Hey, you good? What’s going on? What happened?’ And he kind of fills you in on what’s going on. Dellin doesn’t say much but that was a big moment for him, and you learn a lot.”

It is not a certainty the two sides will go down that road, but a step was taken in that direction Tuesday when they failed to come to an agreement on a one-year deal for this season. Judge, 30, was the only one of the 12 Yankees who were arbitration-eligible not to agree to a contract for 2022. Judge, due to become a free agent after this season, filed for $21 million while the Yankees filed for $17 million.

Again, it is not a lock Judge and the Yankees will go to arbitration as both parties would like to a.) avoid a contentious arbitration hearing, and b.) work out a long-term extension, something owner Hal Steinbrenner and general manager Brian Cashman both said earlier this spring would be discussed.

Judge said Wednesday the sides had talked extension in recent days, but only in very generic terms as neither dollars nor years were discussed.

“I’m focused on doing my work here, let’s get this arbitration stuff done with and then we can move on to [extension talks],” Judge said.

The rightfielder said on March 15 if an extension isn’t reached by the April 7 season opener vs. Boston, he won’t be engaging in those talks during the regular season.

Judge said he’s “optimistic” something can be worked out before acknowledging, “It’s a short window.”

As for an arbitration hearing, it is in both Judge's and the Yankees' interest to avoid it. Betances, like Judge a homegrown Yankee, never fully got over the bitterness of the process, which included team president Randy Levine conducting a conference call with reporters that essentially served as a touchdown dance after the club prevailed. (The Yankees filed at $3 million while Betances filed at $5 million.)

“I think both sides want to avoid that and having to go in that room and kind of fight each other a little bit and bring out the boxing gloves, but I’m prepared for it,” Judge said. “I kind of learned back then, when Dellin went through it and kind of talked to him about the process and I got a heads-up of how that works. I think our team’s [representatives] are prepared for it and ready for it. They’ve been working hard, collecting analytics, different information to help us go in there and win a case. But I would like to handle it before I got to that spot.”

Judge, who has said repeatedly and reaffirmed Wednesday that he wants to be “a Yankee for life,” is also not fearful of exploring the open market after the season if need be.

“If it comes to it, maybe,” Judge said of perhaps being curious what he could get as a free agent. “But like I’ve said before, I want to play here, I want to finish my career here. There’s no better place to play. I’m hoping we don’t get to that but if we do, I think I’ll be ready for it.”
